We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to cover at our dental practice from October 12- November 9th. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will work closely with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient care and maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments.
Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Utilize dental software (Dentrix) for patient record management and scheduling.
Collaborate with dentists to provide support during procedures, especially in orthodontics and pediatrics.
Maintain a sterile and organized work environment in accordance with safety protocols.
Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for all patients.

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Experience in a dental office setting is preferred; familiarity with orthodontics is a plus.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Proficiency in using dental software, particularly Dentrix.
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse patient base.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience in dental assisting is advantageous but not mandatory.

This is a LOCUM Position (October 13- November 9) to cover for our team member's vacation time. Possibility of part time hours after term is finished.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $54.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
