We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic and fun dental team for a maternity leave position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their visits. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients about proper dental hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations on patients, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Assess patients' oral health and provide recommendations for treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, dietary choices, and preventive care.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental software.
Assist the dentist during procedures as required, including orthodontic treatments.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Provide excellent customer service to enhance patient experience and satisfaction.

Skills

Bilingual skills are a plus for effective communication with diverse patient populations.
Previous experience in dental assisting is beneficial for understanding office operations.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
Familiarity with orthodontics procedures is advantageous.
Proficiency in using Maxident or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Excellent communication skills to effectively convey information to patients and team members.
