Requirements
- Active Dental Hygiene License in Ontario
- Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene or equivalent
- Experience in patient education regarding dental hygiene and treatment options
- Ability to take diagnostic-quality x-rays
- Experience with co-diagnosis and co-treatment planning
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation including consent forms and clinical notes
- Proficient in using dental instruments and equipment
- Knowledge of sterilization standards and privacy protocols
- Ability to manage time productively and assist other dental providers as needed
- Strong communication skills to ensure consistent patient communication
- Ability to motivate patients regarding their oral health and hygiene practices
- Willingness to attend and participate in team meetings
- Desire for ongoing continuing education in dental hygiene
