Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Dental Hygiene
Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the CDHO
Outstanding communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively in a team
Knowledge of infection control best practices
Experience in conducting baseline and routine assessments including full mouth charting and probing
Proficient in taking radiographs and impressions as prescribed by the Dentist
Ability to identify conditions such as gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
Experience in dental hygiene treatment planning including preventive care (scaling, prophy, fluoride)
Ability to educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative instructions
Experience in maintaining accurate documentation and charting
Ability to assist with scheduling and identifying gaps in the clinical schedule
Willingness to attend continuing education events
