Requirements

Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program
Active registration with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO)
Current CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
5 years of experience in a similar role preferred, but new graduates encouraged to apply
Experience in a clinical or dental office setting is an asset
Excellent knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, equipment, and safety standards
Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts simply to patients
Ability to assess and identify patient needs and provide tailored oral health advice
Familiarity with dental software such as AkituOne, digital x-rays, and cavitron
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
Compassionate, patient-focused, and empathetic nature
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to providing high-quality care
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining excellent patient care standards
