Registered Dental Hygienist

Effective Immediately

Temporary, Full-Time (1.0 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) 35 hours per week) Up to 5 months
Salary: $33.27 - $46.15 per hour

1. Summary of Duties:

New graduates are welcome to apply

Completion of a Community College program in Dental Hygiene or recognized equivalent
Current registration with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario in good standing
Authorization to self-initiate with no identified restrictions to practice
Proven ability in written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to apply initiative, tact, diplomacy, and judgment in workplace engagements
Excellent planning, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to learn and work with custom computer programs, including Ministry of Health and dental documentation software
Intermediate skill level in computer word processing, internet, and email
Ability to work independently without close supervision
Skill in working effectively and respectfully with others
Adaptability to new, different, and/or changing requirements
Ability to organize and manage workload
Adherence to provincial standards and internal policies related to infection prevention and control
Up-to-date immunization per Ontario Publicly-Funded Immunization Schedule, including COVID-19 vaccination
TB skin testing required at employment onset and potentially for routine surveillance
Experience working with seniors
Ability to travel throughout the City and County as required
Maintain ongoing access to viable transportation meeting job demands
