Requirements

Diploma in Dental Hygiene from a recognized community college or university (mandatory)
Current registration (CDHO) to practice in Ontario as a Registered Dental Hygienist (mandatory)
Minimum 2 years experience in an active dental practice (mandatory)
Current certification in BLS-HCP - Basic First Aid (mandatory)
Knowledge of the Ontario Public Health Standards (mandatory)
Maintains professional competency under the Dental Hygiene Act and the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (mandatory)
Proficiency with current computer applications (Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Internet, Outlook) (mandatory)
Ability to learn data management systems (i.e. OHISS: Dentrix Dental software) (mandatory)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team (mandatory)
Excellent interpersonal, writing, organizational, and communication skills (mandatory)
Ability to plan, prioritize and organize workload (mandatory)
Fluency (oral and written) in French or other languages (preferred)
Dental Hygiene Self-Initiation standing (preferred)
Previous experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist in a Public Health Unit (preferred)
A valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable motor vehicle during working hours (mandatory)
1 million dollars in liability insurance (mandatory)
Physical ability to lift 25 kilograms (mandatory)
Satisfactory police information search (mandatory)
Immunizations and TB screening as per WECHU policies (mandatory)
