Requirements
Dental Hygienists Licensure by the appropriate provincial or territorial governing body
College/CEGEP education
Experience in a dental practice preferred
Ability to instruct patients regarding oral hygiene
Skill in cleaning and stimulating gums to prevent gum disease
Proficient in applying fluoride treatment
Ability to remove stains and deposits from teeth
Competent in administering local anesthetics
Experience in taking, developing, and mounting X-rays
Accurate and efficient interpersonal skills
Excellent oral communication skills
