Responsibilities:

Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
Take and develop dental x-rays
Assess patients' oral health and provide appropriate treatment recommendations
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
Assist the dentist during procedures as required

Skills:

Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental software for patient record management
Experience working in a dental office, preferably with experience in pediatrics and orthodontics
Bilingual skills (if applicable) to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations
Knowledge of dental assisting techniques and procedures
Strong customer service skills to provide a positive patient experience
Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry
