Requirements

Active Dental Hygienist License in Ontario
Ability to examine oral tissues and record findings accurately
Experience taking and processing X-rays
Knowledge of periodontal charting guidelines as per RCDSO & CDHO
Skills in detecting and removing calculus
Experience in plaque and stain removal
Ability to apply fluoride treatment
Experience in patient education regarding oral hygiene techniques
Ability to perform scaling, root planning, and gingival curettage
Knowledge of infection control protocols as outlined by RCDSO and CDHO
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to educate team members about optimal hygiene treatment
Experience with dental charting software (e.g., Abel Dent)
Strong organizational skills to support patient flow and schedule maintenance
Commitment to patient care and comfort
