Requirements

Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Bachelor's Degree; Bachelor's in Dental Hygiene preferred
Active Dental Hygienist License in Nova Scotia and must hold RDH (Registered Dental Hygienist) designation
Experience in planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of oral health-related programs, policies, services, and initiatives
Demonstrated proficiencies in Core competencies for Public Health & LEADS
Successful in building strategic partnerships, networks, coalitions, and collaborative relationships for healthy communities, particularly in oral health
Understanding of population-based approaches
Ability to plan and be self-directed, setting clear and realistic goals, activities, timelines, deliverables, and accountability
Ability to conduct assessments and analysis
Knowledge in volunteer recruitment, training, and retention methods
First Aid/CPR certification
Competencies in other languages; French preferred
